Scaled Down

This Fendlaton home designed in 2007 by Roger Buck and Associates provided plenty of challenges – especially  making the curved walls.  The ground floor features three curved walls: one a gentle S curve  in which are set glass bricks that provide an appealing arrangement of small rectangles whilst also lighting the entrance hall. The two exterior curved walls, formed with a double layer of concrete blocks allow the sun to play across their surfaces during the day. The first floor is timber clad and its feature is the curved deck which opens out from the master bedroom and looks over a landscaped garden.

Although this house was planned to be a ‘forever home’, its owners have now moved to another city and the model will be a reminder of happy time spent there.
