This model was made to demonstrate a concept for an outdoor centre to be built in Kaikoura. The area has a thriving tourist industry based upon its sea life and a rugged coastline that at times, gets the full force of the Pacific Ocean.
This innovative design took its inspration directly from the skeleton of a large sea creature, evident in the arrangemant of the structural ribs that run the length of the gently twisting building.
